FAQ
What do you do?
We build custom marketing and publicity plans for artists labels and other businesses, design interactive media, websites, videos, book artists and more.
What is a publicity and marketing plan?
Well they are really two different things. A publicity plan deals with working with media outlets such as writers, editors etc., letting them know about the client, and finding the best outlets to provide coverage for them. A marketing plan, on the other hand, deals with sharing information about the client through things like advertisements, grassroots marketing, street teams, and more.
How big is your company?
We are a small group of people but we get a lot done we have had artists placed in some of the worlds biggest outlets, and have worked with some pretty big artists. We purposely keep things small here so we can make sure each client gets the best possible results each time.
Who have you worked with?
We love all sorts of music, so we work with artists in most genres. The biggest deciding factor for if we can work with a band is that we truly love what they are doing. We have also worked with many non-music businesses too. Here are some of the artists, labels, and other businesses we have worked with in one way or another over the years:
The Gaslight Anthem(XOXO Records), Ryan Leslie (NextSelection), Bill Harley (2007 Grammy award winner),Hands Down Eugene(XOXO Records), Cappadonna(Wu Tang Clan),MF Grimm (Day By Day Entertainment), Ben Miller and the Low Anthem(now called the Low Anthem), Monument(XOXO Records),Mono (Temporary Residence), Adrienne Pierce(Netwerk), Wheat(The Rebel Group), Incus, theInformati, Andor, French Horn Rebellion, Todd Buckler(Employment Records), This is Benji, Nat Osborn + the Free Radicals, Run Dan Run, Ari Shine (Bongo Beat Records), Barnaby Bright, New Day Dawn, Jupiter Sunrise (Undecided Records), Lansdowne, Hemlok, Bill Thomas (Wrote the music for Capt. Kangaroo), Everything Ends, Chris Rosenquest, NextSelection, Day By Day Entertainment,Too Lou Blue and the Groove, VI Marketing, Canoe Passage Outfitters, India Restaurant, Wonderbar, Carriage House Creamery and many more…
What are your rates?
Our rates depend on the artist’s or label’s budget. we have worked on projects from $500/month to $4,000 per month. When we find an artist or label we want to work with (or they find us), we ask them to come up with a budget that they are comfortable with. From there we come up with a plan that fits their needs within their budget. If they like the plan, we get things started, and make things happen.
Why do you do that?
We do this because every artist or company is in a different place; they all have different budgets and different needs. It wouldn’t make sense to charge a band just starting off at the higher end rates if they are not touring and selling tons of records. We make sure the budget fits the plan.
Can you get my band signed, on tour, on TV, famous etc.?
We can work as hard as we can to make all of those things happen, but they do not just happen on their own. We view it as a sort of partnership, with the client putting in all their effort as well (touring, recording, showing up for interviews etc.) We do everything within our ability to achieve the goals of our clients, but it’s important to know that there is no magic spell to making a band big, but we strive to do everything we possibly can to make it happen.
Where are you located?
We are located in Somerville Massachusetts but work with artists all over the world.
How long have you been in business?
We have been doing publicity and marketing for about seven years now, but we have been working in the music business for around 13 years.
Can I hire you as a consultant?
We have consulted labels, artists and other businesses before, so send me an e-mail and we’ll see if we can set something up.
